Sandra Ann Bivens, 74, of Kountze, died Saturday, November 8, 2025. She was born on April 6, 1951, in Hayward, California.

Sandra Bivens moved to Texas in August 2000 on a one-way trip to finally meet the love of her life and biggest pain, Sonny Bivens. She was a woman of God and loved her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren unconditionally. Sandra spent most of her time caring for her husband and family. She met her best friend, Jeanne Wismer, at the nursing home where they would share laughs, tears, and many stories about their families. Her favorite being about her babies.

She is survived by her husband of twenty-five years, Sonny Bivens; children, Monica Ortiz and Joey Ortiz, both of Hayward, California; stepchildren, Darrell Bivens and his wife, Angela, of Hico; Michael Bivens and his wife, Melody, of Kountze; and Tracy Swift and her husband, Michael, of Cleveland; grandchildren, Marshall Swift and his wife, Ashleigh, of Sour Lake; Robin Fant and her husband, Garrett, of Batson; Mason Swift and his wife, Hope, of Splendora; Brookelyn Rucks and her husband, Austin, of Sour Lake; Jeremy Bivens of Lumberton; and Elizabeth Bivens and her fiancé, Clarence Clerc, of Lumberton; honorary granddaughter, Faith Prichard of Tomball; and other numerous grandchildren; honorary great-granddaughter, Reylynn Bostick, and numerous other great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents; son, Chris Ortiz; and a brother.

A gathering of Mrs. Bivens' family and friends will be from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m., Thursday, November 13, 2025, at Broussard's, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. Her graveside service will 2:00 p.m., Saturday, November 15, 2025, at Center Point Cemetery, Farm Road 480, Center Point.
