Milton Louis McNeely Sr.

Milton Louis McNeely Sr., age 82, of Kountze, Texas, passed away on January 31, 2026, at home. He died peacefully while in the company of his wife of sixty-two years, and granddaughter.

Born on November 12, 1943, in Silsbee, Texas, to Florence Virginia "Vergie" and John Henry McNeely. Milton attended school in Silsbee, Texas until he was in the eighth grade. Out of love and necessity, he began a career path in grocery, which led to a path into being a butcher, then into management. Known for his energetic personality, whistle while you work demeanor, and one for a quick comeback, Milton spent the majority of his life enjoying his family.

Milton is survived by his wife, Ruth Brown McNeely; children, Milton McNeely Jr. and wife, Rebecca; Rickey Larue McNeely; and Timothy Gerald McNeely and wife, Melissa, all of Kountze; nine grandchildren, Dustin McNeely and Devon Duncan, Blake and Ashley McNeely, H.L. McNeely, Dakota and Felicia McNeely, Devon Culbreath, Hunter and Callie McNeely, Cauy McNeely, Joshua McNeely, and Hannah and Mark Hall, and eighteen great-grandchildren. He is also survived by sister, Bonnie. He is preceded in death by parents; brothers, J.H. and Elvin; and sisters, Claudia and Judy.

Pallbearers include Dustin McNeely, Blake McNeely, Dakota McNeely, Hunter McNeely, Cauy McNeely, H.L. McNeely, Joshua McNeely, and Mark Hall.

A gathering of Mr. McNeely's family and friends will be from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m., Wednesday, February 4, 2026, at Broussard's, 530 West Monroe, Kountze. His graveside service will follow at 2:30 p.m. at Old Hardin Cemetery, Kountze.
