Regina Ann Bowman (known as "Gina"), of
Beaumont, Texas died on Thursday, February 12, 2026, at the age of 63. She was born on November 30, 1962, in
Kountze, Texas, to Gloria Dean Deslatte and Eugene Cormier. She was named after St. Regina Ann, a patron saint of courage and devotion, that her mother, Gloria, admired at St. Elizabeth's hospital just before Regina's birth.
A 1981 graduate of Beaumont Charlton Pollard High School, Gina's vibrant personality left an unmistakable mark on everyone she met. From first grade onward, she shared a lifelong bond with her best friend Travis. Gina learned how to braid hair on Travis' head while sitting in Mrs. French's elementary class. Their friendship formed even closer bonds at the bowling alley where their parents gathered weekly. They were the "bowling brats," a team formed from kids who grew up in the lanes. Gina's late husband Keith and Travis' husband Frankie played in a band together, which further grew their lifelong friendship.
Gina embodied the meaning of hard work. Beginning at age sixteen, she very rarely missed a day of work throughout her life, often holding more than one job and working tirelessly even in her final week before entering hospice. Her dedication to work was matched only by her vibrant energy for life. Whether she was bowling-winning the prestigious Queen's Bowling Tournament-or spending weekends at the beach with her beloved daughter Laci, Gina approached everything with the same large enthusiasm.
She was, quite simply, one of a kind. Her funny personality and boisterous laughter made her the undisputed life of the party. Though admittedly accident-prone, Gina turned even her mishaps into stories that brought joy to others. She created countless memories, from playing mermaids and Ursula in the backyard pool with Laci in earlier summers, rocking out at band concerts with Keith, and finding any excuse to ride in Robby's '67 blue Chevelle. Gina loved her music and loved her animals. But most of all, she loved her daughter Laci.
Gina was preceded in death by her husband, Keith Bowman; parents, Gene and Gloria Cormier; and sister, Lisa Pearce.
Survivors include her daughter, Laci Watkins of Beaumont; sister, Shelley Turner and her husband, Rob, of Beaumont; brother, Ronnie Cormier and his wife, Cindy, of Silsbee; and numerous nieces, nephew and other family members.
