Ronnie Wayne Dillon, 79, of Beaumont died Friday, February 13, 2026. He was born on December 14, 1946, in Beaumont, Texas, to Helen and Wayne Dillon. A lifetime resident of Beaumont, Ronnie attended Fletcher Elementary School, Crockett Junior High School, graduated from Beaumont High School in 1965, and attended Lamar State College. Growing up, Ronnie participated in Boy Scouts (achieving Star Rank), enjoyed playing baseball and football, was active in church youth group, and was active in FFA. From 1969 to 1971, Ronnie served in the United States Army, completing Basic Training in Fort Huachuca, Arizona, and was later stationed in Heilbronn, Germany. After his honorable discharge, Ronnie continued his fifty-year career with Goodyear Chemical.

Over the years, Ronnie was active in church participating in Bible studies, serving as deacon, and leading worship. Ronnie was a dedicated member of the Tri-Agency Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association and an active participant in Citizens in Action. He volunteered his time in support of law enforcement and served his community. Ronnie was a longtime member of the Golden Triangle Gun Club and served as a board director, instructor, and volunteer. A lifelong believer in helping others, Ronnie was a regular blood donor whose quiet acts helped countless people.

Survivors include his daughter, Krista Latil and her husband, Jason; son, Derek Dillon, all of Beaumont; brother, Roger Dillon and his wife, Donna, of Lumberton; sisters, Kay Eichorn of Charlotte, North Carolina, and Carol Bartel of Beaumont; grandchildren, Mallory Latil of Lake Jackson, and Jaden Latil of Beaumont; nieces and nephews, Joe Eichorn and his wife, Chelsea, of Rock Hill, South Carolina; Betsy Falls and her husband, Matt, of Lyndhurst, Virginia; Robby Eichorn, and Ben Eichorn of Charlotte, North Carolina; Sarah Bartel and her husband, Mitch Ogilvie, of Arlington, Texas; and Lorianna Bartel of Beaumont.

Ronnie is preceded in death by his parents; brother-in-law, John Eichorn; and brother-in-law, Mike Bartel.

Memorial contributions may be made to Citizens Police Academy Alumni Association, 255 College Street, Beaumont, Texas 77701.

A gathering of Mr. Dillon's family and friends will be on Sunday, February 22, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. at Broussard's, 1605 North Major Drive, Beaumont, Texas. His funeral service will be on Monday, February 23, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at Wesley Methodist Church, 3810 North Major Drive, with internment to follow at Magnolia Cemetery in Beaumont.
