Sandra Cesar passed peacefully and went to be with Jesus on October 21st, 2025, at age 71 years.
Sandra was the loving mother of Malina (Kenton) Perez and Kurtis Cesar. The mother-in-law to Jamie and Jayann. The devoted grandmother of Ragena (Nathan) Travis, Lukeus (Sarah) Perez, Nathan Perez, "The boys"- Sebastian and Jeremy Cesar, "The twins"-Sawyer and Connor Cesar. And she was also the "Great Grand" to "the kids"- Raylynn and Jonah Travis. Sandy loved her children, her grandchildren, and her "Great Grands" more than life itself.
Sandra was a caring, compassionate woman who devoted her life to the service of others, working at Horizon Home Care & Hospice as a home health aide for her entire career. Her compassion and commitment to care set Sandy apart. Families of her patients noticed the time, energy, and extra research she put into providing the best care for everyone; she awarded her patients dignity in some of their most vulnerable moments. She was recognized by her company in 2008, and it was said of her that: "Her guiding principle has always been to form a compassionate relationship with the recipient of care, even when that person may not remember who she is."
Sandy's selflessness went beyond her profession. She was always looking to give, whether that be an extra cookie when you visit her, a home decoration of hers that she knows you enjoy, or a thoughtful birthday present. The birthday presents she gave were special because they showed just how much she paid attention to her loved ones' interests and hobbies. Sandra loved Jesus, and it showed by how she mirrored His giving nature; Jesus poured Himself out for the sake of others, so Sandra did the same.
Sandra was an avid Scrabble player, beating her knowledgeable grandchildren most of the time. She had a heart for children, and she loved to play games, plan activities and make every moment special for them.
In her last days, she was provided care by Horizon Home Care & Hospice. Sandra took care of others through this service for many years, and she was cared for in return.
Sandra's legacy of compassion, bold faith, and generosity will continue to live on in all who were fortunate enough to know her. Though she will be deeply missed by her family, friends and those whose lives she touched, Sandy would want everyone to know that there is no need for tears. She is in heaven now where she is dancing, running and laughing, things she eagerly anticipated doing again as she became less able later in life.
The most important message that Sandy would want you to know is that through Jesus, you can enter into eternal life and be restored as well. Jesus Christ is the way, the truth, and the life, and no one comes unto the Father except through him. Thanks to this beautiful truth, Sandy is with her Savior and will someday be reunited with her loved ones who know Him. She would want you to know that you can know Him too, and through Him, you can fully live life as you were made to; you can know joy, peace, and love in a way you've never known before. In the end, you can see Jesus face-to-face.
"I love you family!"
