Mrs. Sandra Elaine Champ, 66, passed away Monday evening, February 17th, 2025, while at McCoy Nursing Center.
Born in Savannah, GA, Mrs. Champ was a daughter of the late Ivan & Phylis McCollum. She worked with Walmart for 19 years as a Customer Service Representative. Sandra enjoyed writing and taking pictures; if you saw her coming, you knew she was going to take a picture. Sandra also loved being a wife and mother; family time meant everything to her.
Surviving is her husband, Donald Champ; daughter, Tabitha (Joshua) Nichols; grandson, Jack Nichols; siblings: Pam, Johnnie, Jay, Jimmy, Peggy, Karen, Carmen, Shannon, Sean, Chad, Joey, and Jeffery; mother-in-law, Sylvia Champ; and numerous nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Steve Morrison.
Her service will be conducted at 2:00 on Tuesday afternoon, February 25th, 2025, by the graveside of Evergreen Memorial Park in Sumter. The family will be speaking with friends following the service at the graveside. *Please look for the “Elmore-Hill-McCreight” tents.* Anyone who would like to pay their respects to Mrs. Champ may do so on Tuesday morning, from 9-12 Noon at Norton Funeral Home.
