Sandra Kay Cleasby (Hermanson), age 77 of Janesville, passed away peacefully at Javon Bea Hospital in Rockford, Ill., surrounded by her family, on Sunday, December 21, 2025. She was born in Chicago, Ill., on January 19, 1948. She married Richard Cleasby on May 24, 1969 at First Lutheran Church in Janesville.
She worked for several years at SSI Technologies before her retirement. Sandy loved feeding her birds, always keeping the feeder full. She enjoyed trips to the casino to play the slots, and her scratch off lottery tickets. But she will always be remembered as a good wife, mother, friend, and the best grandma ever, a role she was most proud of.
Sandra is survived by her sons, Jason Cleasby and Jeremy Cleasby; grandchildren, Gage, Reece, and Addison Cleasby; brothers, Dan and Jim Hermanson; special people, Tammy Cleasby and Morgan Jester; as well as other additional family and friends.
Sandra was preceded in death by her husband, Richard, on September 15, 2025; parents, Russell and Bernadette (Olson) Hermanson; daughter, Stacy Cleasby; and a brother, Tom Hermanson.
A Celebration of Sandra’s Life will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026, from 1 p.m. to 5 p.m., at the VFW KIENOW-HILT POST 1621, 1015 Center Ave., Janesville.
