Sandra Kay (Smith) Mosteller-Conn, 70, of Muskogee, was born August 7, 1953, in Muskogee to William Thomas Smith and Gussie Maud Church. Sandra met her Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ, on Thursday, January 11, 2024, at home with her loving family by her side after a long and courageous battle with cancer.
Sandra spent her entire life in the Fort Gibson and Muskogee area. She received her education at Fort Gibson High School, graduating with the Class of 1971. Sandra was employed as an Office Manager for Dr. Dwayne Atwell, where she would go on to retire. She enjoyed making people smile with her "giggle of the day" Facebook posts, watching the OKC Thunder, tending to her houseplants, creating things for people with her vinyl machine, and researching genealogy. She attended First United Methodist Church of Fort Gibson, where she was passionate in her faith and especially enjoyed her Sunday School class. Sandra fiercely loved her family and cherished the time she spent with them. She will be dearly missed, but her memories will be cherished by family and friends. Sandra's favorite bible verse was Psalm 46:10 reads, "Be still and know that I am God."
Sandra is proceeded in death by her parents, William Smith and Gussie Church; and siblings, Hershel (Bill) Smith, Betty Nail, David Smith, and Kenneth Smith.
She is lovingly survived by her son, Chet Mosteller and wife Jessica; daughter, Amy Clinkenbeard and husband Jeremy; grandchildren, Braden Mosteller and wife Katie, Cameron Mosteller and wife Makenzie, Perri Mosteller, Jace Clinkenbeard, Cade Clinkenbeard, and Jake, Levi and Aleya Rankins; great-grandchildren, Boone, Maverick and Daisy Mosteller, and Lane and Rylie Mosteller; brother, Leroy Smith, sisters, Ruth O'Dell, Mary Ballard, Iva Morton, Thelma Harris, Velma Crittenden; special friend and sister, Midge Blue; and loyal companion Remi; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family and many friends.
The family would like to extend a sincere gratitude to Rivercross Healthcare, especially her nurse, Linda Milton.
