Sandra A. (Markarian) Cove,81, passed away peacefully and comfortably on February 25, 2022, following a period of declining health. Sandra was born January 12, 1941, and raised in Rochdale, Massachusetts. She was the daughter of the late Leo and Muriel Markarian.
A resident of Middleton, Massachusetts since 1975, Sandra is survived by Edward Cove, her beloved husband of 59 years. She was also the loving older sister to Judy Gammell and companion Raymond, currently of Athol, Massachusetts. Sandra was the most gracious mother of her two sons Edward and Michael. She enjoyed the company of her many nieces and nephews, and is a cherished grandmother of Liani, Joseph, Ashley, and Logan. Sandra treasured the laughter and fun with her 13-year-old great-grandson, Kai.
Sandra was a graduate of Oxford High School and Becker Junior College. Of the several jobs she had throughout her lifetime the one she truly loved and found most rewarding was her role at the Northeast Arc, Danvers, Massachusetts, from which she retired.
A few of her passions were gardening, sewing, crafts, and cooking big family dinners. She was an incredible cook and baker. She continually amazed gathered friends and family with her culinary skills. Her true delight came in cooking and baking Armenian dishes with her sons and grandchildren and sharing her recipes with them.
Sandra's family would like to say Thank you to the countless friends, family, and neighbors who have been so kind, helpful and respectful toward her. Additionally, the family would like to offer a special thanks to the kind, professional, and sincere staff at Beth Israel Lahey Health in Beverly, Massachusetts.
Sandra's elegance, sensitivity, cheerful humor, thoughtfulness, loving warmth and generous spirit will be deeply missed.
A celebration of Sandra's life will be held on Friday, March 11th from 4-7 pm at Mackey Funeral Home, 128 S. Main Street, Rt 114, Middleton, Massachusetts. For online condolences please visit www.mackeyfuneralhome.com
