Sandra Katherine Dearing

Sandra Katherine Dearing, 75, widow of Thomas Dearing, died Sunday, June 18th, 2023 at the Ephraim McDowell Regional Medical Center. Born March 6, 1948 in Marion County she was the daughter of the late Alexander and Ina May Settles. She was a charter member of The Carpenter's Christian Church and a retired Central Ky Vocational School Teacher. She enjoyed sewing, cooking, reading and was a member of the Lexington Chef's Association. Mrs. Dearing had taught Home Economics and Food Services in many schools throughout her career.
Survivors include: two sons: Robert (Liz) Dearing of Salvisa and Joseph (Sarah) Dearing of Harrodsburg; one daughter: Kimberly Michelle Dearing of Harrodsburg; eleven grandchildren: Kathryn Underwood, Wesley (Jennifer) Underwood, Alex Pittman, Derek (Amanda) PIttman, Robert (Christina) Devine, Lorie Devine, Casey Derringer, Dakota Dearing, Kayla Dearing, Ronnie Russell and Christian Dearing; and several great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her son: Kenneth Ray Dearing.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Monday, June 26, 2023 at the Alexander & Royalty Funeral Home with John Kesel officiating. Burial will be in the Peter's Cemetery with Alex Pittman, Derek Pittman, Robert Devine, Dakota Dearing, Ronnie Russell, Christian Dearing, Wesley Underwood, and Landon Alford serving as pallbearers.
Visitation will be after 11:00 a.m. Monday.
