Sandra Drown Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Auxter-Recker Funeral Homes - Clyde on Jan. 12, 2026.
Sandra Lee Drown, 76, of Clyde, OH, passed away on January 11, 2026 at the Stein Hospice Care Center, Sandusky. Known fondly as "Sandy" by those closest to her, she was a beacon of love, thoughtfulness, and compassion that consistently shone brightly to the lives of those around her.

Born on December 1, 1949, Sandy was a dedicated wife to Jerry Drown, whom she married on January 10, 1998. She was also a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. Her spirit of dedication carried through the love of her family. She worked at the St. Francis Home in Green Springs, Ohio, until her retirement. Her care of others was reflected in her caring nature and kindness. Her hobbies included watching the Hallmark Channel, listening to Elvis Presley, and shopping and dining out with friends. But what Sandra cherished the most was spending quality time with her beloved family and grandkids.

Surviving Sandy is her loving husband, Jerry Drown; her children Scott (Penny) Boyd, Lavonda (Bill) Steinberger, and Brian (Amy) Drown; her grandchildren, Braden (Grace) Boyd, Dalton Boyd, Lexie (Drew) Whipple, and Shayla Steinberger; and her brother, Keith (Della) Jackson. She was preceded in death by her parents, Charles and Estella Cable.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, January 15, 2026 at 11:00am, until the time of Funeral Service at 1:00pm, at the Auxter-Recker Funeral Home 218 South Main Street, Clyde, Ohio, 43410. Memorial contributions in honor of Sandy may be made to Stein Hospice of Western Reserve, 1200 Sycamore Line, Sandusky, Ohio 43452.

As William Shakespeare once wrote, "We are such stuff as dreams are made on; and our little life is rounded with a sleep." The beautiful dream that was Sandy's life will continue to live on in the hearts and minds of those who knew and loved her. We encourage all to leave memories and upload photos to the memorial page, as a testament to the enduring love and legacy of our dear Sandy.
