Sandra Jean Bahmuller was born July 9, 1944 in Parkston, SD to Irvin and Sadie Bahmuller. She passed away on Sunday, December 21, 2025 at the Good Samaritan Society in Tyndall at the age of 81.
Sandra was the only child and grew up in the Parkston area. As a young girl she spent a lot of time at Milltown Island Park with her friends and family. She went to school in Parkston through her freshman year. In 1960 she moved with her mom and dad to Springfield, where she completed her sophomore class there.
While in Springfield she met Clint Ellis. She later married Clint on September 3, 1961 in Dillon, SC. From there they moved to Boulder, CO, where she earned her GED and worked at Neodata for several years. She then went to college to become a beautician and received her license. She worked as a hairdresser in Boulder until she and Clint moved back to SD in the late 70’s. They moved onto a farm south of Tyndall. She then opened a Beauty Shop in Tyndall on Main Street. Sandi ran the business for many years until she retired. She and Clint took up camping and fishing for enjoyment and in later years spent the winters in Mesa, AZ. The last few years they spent the winters in SD because they missed the snow.
Sandi leaves behind from Clint’s side a niece and nephew as well as cousins from both sides.
Sandi was preceded in death by her parents and husband Clinton.
