Sandra Lee Fowler, 86, of Charlevoix, passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 16, 2025, at Boulder Park Terrace in Charlevoix, with her family at her side. She was born on July 28, 1938, in Carson City, MI, the daughter of Degoler and Dorothy (Brice) Straight.
Sandra moved to Charlevoix in 1975 and has lived in Northern Michigan ever since. She enjoyed a 25-year career as a surgical technician at Charlevoix Hospital. She also attended the First Presbyterian Church in Boyne City for several years.
Sandra loved to bake pies of all kinds and she used crusts which she made from scratch with lard. She also enjoyed knitting, tending to her flower and vegetable gardens, and watching Hallmark movies. She was one heck of an entertainer too, and loved singing, especially at Grey Gables with Breezy playing the piano!
Sandra is survived by her daughter Krista Fowler (Brenda David) of Charlevoix; a bonus daughter, Jana Montague; her brother, Jon (Charlotte) Straight of Onekama; and her nieces and nephews, Chris (Missy) Straight, Raquel Ballard, and Angelina (Dave) Flores.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Sandra’s family has chosen to celebrate her life privately.
