Sandra Lee Garber, age 63, of Thaxton, Virginia, passed away peacefully on Saturday, May 3, 2025, surrounded by the love of her family. She was born on August 2, 1961, in Cleveland, Ohio, to the late Francis Kenton Garber and Dolores Ann Paul Garber.
Sandra exemplified dedication and resilience as a remarkable single mother, grandmother and mother figure to many. She devoted over 26 years of her life to her career as a security guard. She was an active attendee of Charity Baptist Church in Vinton, Virginia, where she found community and support. Sandra cherished the simple pleasures in life, especially the companionship of her beloved cat, Gray Boy.
Sandra will be remembered for her kind heart, unwavering love for her family, her sense of humor, and the joy she brought to those around her. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
Sandra is survived by her daughter, Sara Pendleton and husband Maurice; grandchildren, Nevaeh Pendleton; Julius Pendleton, and Debrah Pendleton; siblings, David Garber, Phillip Garber, Douglas Garber; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In addition to her parents, She is preceded in death by her two granddaughters, Lianna and Hope Pendleton; sister Debrah Gibson; brothers, Daniel and Frank Garber; and beloved feline, Tiger.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the family.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday May 13th, 2025, at 2:00pm at Charity Baptist Church, in Vinton Virginia with Pastor Maurice Pendleton, IV officiating. A visitation will be held on Tuesday May 13th, 2025, from 1:00pm to 2:00pm at Charity Baptist Church in Vinton Virginia.
