Mrs. Sandra Lee Newman Gaudreau, age 75 of Mount Airy passed away on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, at Hugh Chatham Memorial Hospital surrounded by her loving family. Mrs. Gaudreau was born on December 9, 1949, in Wayne County, Ohio to the late Charles Edward Newman, Sr and Vera Fern Lockhart Newman. Sandra was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, aunt, sister, and friend. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her. Surviving are her sons and daughter-in-law, Marc Watson, Theodore Kuhl, John Watson and Roula Alkhatib-Watson, Ronald “Shane” Watson; nine grandchildren, Aiden Watson, Savannah Watson, Jasmine Hylton, Zachary Watson, Dylan Watson, Alexander Hylton, Courtney Kuhl, Bryan Kuhl, Mason Kuhl; two great-grandchildren; two sisters, Deborah Newman, Regina Newman Jasperse and Robert; brother and sister-in-law, Charles McGee and Tonya; along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Gaudreau was preceded in death by brothers, Daryl Newman, Derrick Dorthick; and Charles Edward Newman, Jr. A graveside service will be held on Monday, August 25, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Union Hills Friends Meeting Cemetery with Reverend Ernest Brown officiating. No formal visitation will held at this time. Moody Funeral Services in Mount Airy has been entrusted with the arrangements.
