Sandra Gay Obituary

Sandra L. Gay, 77, of Delaware passed away Saturday afternoon, February 21, 2026, at the Arbors of Delaware. She was born December 28, 1948, in Columbus to the late Sonny and Thelma (Brooks) Swank and graduated from South High School.

Sandra worked for Dr. Grabner, Huntington Bank, Photo Mat and later in food service at Grady Memorial Hospital. She loved cooking, baking, watching OSU sports and spending time with her grandchildren.

Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of almost 39 years, Jeff; children, Don Cramer, Barbara Cramer and Nate (Kandace) Gay, all of Delaware; seven grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren; brothers, Eddie (Sandy) Brooks, Tom (Teresa) Swank, Rusty (Debbie) Swank, and Fred Swank; sister, Shirley Williams; stepmother, Helen Swank; brothers-in-law, Bill Rife and Danny (Diane) Gay; sister-in-law, Nancy (Gary) Bell; numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents, Sandra was also preceded in death by her sisters Violet Knott and Joann Rife and her brother Keith Brooks.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Bud Nelson, JR and CR Hopkins, Merle Treese, and Heartland Hospice of Marion.

The family will receive friends on Friday, February 27, 2026, from 5 – 7 p.m. at the Snyder Funeral Center, 101 Valleyside Drive at W. William St., Delaware, where services celebrating Sandra's life will follow at 7 p.m. with Chaplain Kevin Kinnison officiating. The family has requested casual dress.

Contributions in Sandra's memory may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 5200 Upper Metro Place #170, Dublin, OH 43017.
