Sandra June Goodbrake, 82, of Mountain Home, Arkansas, formerly of Decatur, Illinois, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 5, 2025, in Mountain Home.
Born on March 3, 1943, in Decatur, Illinois, Sandra was the beloved daughter of Willard and Ruby (Wakefield) Dickinson. She dedicated many years of service as a carman with the Norfolk and Southern Railroad, a role that reflected her strength, diligence, and commitment.
Sandra's life was rich with passion and purpose. She was an avid bowler who found joy in mentoring young bowlers, sharing not only her skills but her encouragement and love for the sport. She also enjoyed fishing and quilting and was an active member of both the local walleye and quilting clubs. Her devotion to community was evident in her role as a founding member of the Cotter-Gassville Rural Fire Department Auxiliary.
Sandra was preceded in death by her parents, five sons, and a brother. She is lovingly remembered by her husband, Dale Goodbrake; her children, John (Kelly) Goodbrake, Becky (Will) Kastning, Vickie McCoskey, and Scheryl Murrain; her brother, George Dickinson; 17 grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren; and a wide circle of extended family and dear friends.
A Celebration of Sandra's Life will be announced at a later date.
In honor of Sandra's generous spirit, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude’s Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
