Sandra Kay "Sandi" Goodman

Sandra "Sandi" Kay Goodman, 76, of Perrysburg, passed away at home, surrounded by loved ones on Wednesday, December 24, 2025. She was born Sandra Blausey, March 17, 1949, to Lloyd W. and Lois F. (Hawk) Blausey in Toledo, OH. On September 22, 1972, she married James "Jim" D. Goodman in Stony Ridge, OH at St. John's Lutheran Church. They raised two children and celebrated over 53 years of marriage together.
Sandi worked as a Registered Nurse, and later as a Nurse Midwife. Serving as an RN since 1970 and later as a Nurse Midwife the last 30 years of her career retiring from Sioux San Native Women's Hospital in South Dakota. Her career as a Nurse and Midwife was brought about by an education that included being a graduate of the Mercy School of Nursing, the University of Toledo, and the Frontier School of Midwifery. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church, enjoyed book club, traveling with her husband in their RV, and being the Wood County 4-H Camp Nurse. Sandi developed a love for South Dakota, the Native American women, and the baby buffalo offspring during her travels with Jim. She kept a diary of her trips and made many campfire friends that she had met along the path of her travels. While she had many child births during her career, it was her career as a Nurse Midwife with 1100 births to her credit that she always remained proud of. Her greatest joy always remained her family.
In addition to her husband Jim, Sandi is survived by her children: Deanna Goodman of Luckey, and Cody (Denise) Goodman of Perrysburg. Grandchildren: Taylor Hawkins, Amelia Goodman, Brent Goodman, and Eli Goodman. Brother Dennis (Wendy) Blausey, sister-in-law, Kathy Blausey and numerous nieces and nephews. Sandi was preceded in death by her parents, brother, David Blausey, and in laws Deloy and Lois Goodman, and sister-in-law, Sandy Everhart.
Family and friends will be received from 11a-1p, January 02, 2026 with a memorial service at 1pm at St, John's Lutheran Church, 5520 Fremont Pike Stony Ridge, OH. Officiating will be Pastor Cindy Ritter. At a later date, Sandi will be laid to rest at Quinshan Cemetery Gibsonburg, OH.
