June 4, 1946 - June 17, 2025

Sandra Louise Haley "Sandy", age 79, passed away on June 17, 2025. Sandy was born June 4, 1946, in Chicago, Ill., to Benjamin and Norma Haley. Sandy graduated from High School in 1964. She started her career as a Toxicologist in Illinois for many years. She specialized in tertology. She also spent time in toxicology research near Hayword, Wis. Sandy moved near Madison, Wis. in 1989 to continue her career with what is now Covance. She retired from Covance in 2006.

Sandy met her partner, Dixie, in 1989. They spent 34 years together. They loved their Boston Terrior and Doberman companions. They enjoyed spending time with family and friends. They also enjoyed traveling. Hawaii, Amsterdam, Jamaica and road trips in the US. Sandy loved all animals. She also was an avid bird fan. She owned horses for a time. She contributed to efforts to help animals, the environment, and children.

Sandy will be deeply missed by her partner, Dixie Bushee; and brother, Benjamin Haley; and nieces, Brynn (Josh), and Katlynn (Tina). She is further survived by other relatives and friends.
