Sandra "Sandie" Lynn Hayes, age 55 of Mankato and formerly of St. Peter, passed away on Monday, October 30, 2023.
Funeral service will be 2:00pm Monday, November 6, 2023 at Trinity Lutheran Church, St. Peter with visitation beginning at 12:00pm. Memorials can be given to BENCHS, AG Bell Assoc. for the Deaf and Hard of Hearing, or the MN Landscape Arboretum. Sandra Lynn was born July 10, 1968 in Woodbury NJ to Dennis A. and Elizabeth L. (Arnett) Hayes. She is a 1986 graduate of Burnsville High School and continued her education at MN State, Mankato where she received her degree in nutrition. She was employed as a catering manager at Gustavus Adolphus College, and a nutrition supervisor at the St. Peter Regional Treatment Center. Sandie was united in marriage to Dana Dean Clark on July 16, 1994; they later divorced, and remained close friends and supporters of their children. She was passionate about the humane society and animals. Sandie enjoyed music of all kinds, particularly classic rock. She also enjoyed the color purple, making tie dyes, crystals, the outdoors, butterflies, beaches, and the sun. She loved taking her sons to baseball, swimming, and other sporting practices, and was their biggest advocate. Most importantly, she cherished her family, and being a mother and grandmother.
Left to remember Sandie are her children: Andrew (Miya) and Justin; grandchildren: Jaxon, Everlee, and Kendall; parents Dennis and Elizabeth; brother Scott (Claire); her children's father, Dana Clark; many aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews; and her corgi, Robbie.
