October 15th, 1940, Sandra Lee Berg was born in Oakland, California to Mable and George Berg. Raised most of her life in Bakersville California. This is where she met and married Dwayne Thurman and had her first son, Michael Dwayne Thurman, on April 14th, 1957. From there they moved to Albuquerque, New Mexico. The marriage dissolved and Sandra was a single mom and waitress for a short while until the love of her life, Ronald Dean Henderson, entered and swept her off her feet. After only two dates they were married on December 22nd, 1959.

They decided to move to Ron’s hometown of Walsh, Colorado to raise their family and start their new life together. Ron had their house on Alaska Street built-to-order for Sandra. On October 3rd, 1960 they brought Ricky Dean Henderson into the world. Now with two little boys at home, Sandra began to teach piano lessons, baked and decorated cakes (however, she never quite mastered the baking of cookies), sewed clothes, and worked part time at the local chiropractic office. This is where she also met her best friend in life, Marilyn Gonzales.

On February 4th, 1968, Ron and Sandra had their daughter Kim Henderson and their family was complete. By now Ron and Sandra had discovered their passion for sales. Sandra was introduced to Princess House Crystal and blossomed as a business owner. Through her Princess House business they were able to enjoy traveling to places like Majorca, Spain; Paris, France; and Hawaii to name a few. Sandra loved to travel to new cities for conferences and truly enjoyed her time with other ladies in her group. Once the children were grown and on their own, Ron and Sandra moved to Amarillo, TX in 1984. Sandra worked in accounting for several years. She loved connecting with people, which brought her to her next career move as a demonstrator at Sam’s Club.

The early nineties were a time of great sadness and joy for Sandra. Sadness because of the death of her oldest son in an accident and the loss of the love of her life to cancer. Joy from the birth of her grandkids, Carly, Casey and Coby. She was graced with another grandson, Marshall, in 2002. Sandra was also blessed with three great-grandchildren, Addeline, Brodie, and Linnie.

The last years of her life were spent ensuring her son Rick was well taken care of and they were by each other's side until she went home to be with the Lord on January 2nd, 2026.

Sandra had a very rich life and was loved by her nieces, nephews, brothers and sisters-in-law, and all who knew her.

Services will be at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, January 10, 2026, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel, 2800 Paramount Blvd. Burial will be in Stonington Cemetery in Stonington, CO. on Friday, January 16, 2026 at 1:00 p.m., (MST).

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Snack Pak for Kids.
