In Loving Memory of Sandra Lee Holbrook
Sandra Lee Holbrook, age 85, a resident of Carver and most recently of Wareham, passed away peacefully on Thursday September 25, 2025, in her home surrounded by her family.
She was the daughter of the late Myron & Helen (Benoit) Holbrook. She grew up in Holbrook and graduated from Holbrook public schools. She obtained her bachelor's degree at Bridgewater State University and continued her education at Northeastern University where she obtained her master's degree. She was a devoted teacher for over 57 years.
A lifelong educator, Sandra dedicated her career to teaching and guiding young minds. She taught in the Philippine Islands for a year. She spent much of her teaching career at Duxbury public schools. Sandra dedicated 10 years of teaching at Tabor Academy and finished out her career as a Professor at Massasoit Community College at the age of 80. She believed deeply in the power of learning and the importance of encouraging every student to see their own potential, this mentorship extended beyond her classroom.
Outside of her professional life, Sandra had a deep love for animals, especially her recused cats, who were her constant companions and a source of joy.
Sandra lived a life defined by strength, independence, and an unwavering spirit. Though she lived with a disability, she never allowed it to limit her. Instead, she approached life with courage, resilience, and a determination that inspired all who knew her.
Family was the heart of her life. She was a devoted daughter, sister, and aunt who found joy in gatherings, milestones, and simply being with those she loved.
She is survived by her devoted sister Janet Johnson & brother in-law Ernest Johnson of Plymouth; loving aunt of Jill Morelli & her husband George of Braintree, Traci Quigg & her husband Russell of Plymouth; cherished great aunt to Braley, Jackson, Ty, Nicholas, and Jordan. Her family will forever cherish her memory and carry forward her legacy of love, kindness, and perseverance.
