ALBION - Sandra Carole Huntsman, 85, of rural Albion, Indiana, passed away at her home on Saturday, May 10, 2025.
She was born on Oct. 31, 1939, in Kimmell, Indiana, to Arvil and Ruth (Deardorf) Denney.
She was a graduate of Wolf Lake High School.
On Nov. 16, 1958, at Broadway Christian Church in Kimmell, she married Larry Huntsman.
Church life was very important to Sandra. She was a founding member of Berean Baptist Church in Albion, where she played the organ and was a member of the Women's Missionary Society. She also was a supporter of Lifewise Academy.
In addition to her church activities, she was a member of the Home Ec Club and the Red Hat Society, and a long-time volunteer at Luckey Hospital Museum in Wolf Lake.
Sandra worked for the Noble County Co-Op and Scott Insurance Agency.
Survivors include her husband, Larry Huntsman, of Albion; son, Leon (Kim) Huntsman, of Kimmell; daughter, Debbie Sanders, of Albion; grandchildren, Jamie Bryant, Nicholas (Amanda) Shearer, Macayla (Jared) Kimbrough, Candice Huntsman, Andrew Huntsman, Artemis Huntsman and Marissa Huntsman; and great-grandchildren, Ellie and Olivia Bryant, Marin Burris, Madyson, Craigen, Dexter, Zoey, Hannah Shearer, Eli Westfall, Ezra Powell and Theodore and Callahan Kimbrough. Also surviving is a brother, Everett Rex Denney, of Kendallville.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Todd Huntsman in 1971; and sister-in-law, Karen Denney in 2007.
Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m., on Saturday, May 17, 2025, at Harper Funeral Homes, Albion Chapel, 771 Trail Ridge Road, Albion, with visitation one hour prior to the service.
The Rev. Doug Keenan of Berean Baptist Church will officiate.
Visitation also be held on Friday, May 16, 2025, from 3-7 p.m., at the funeral home.
Burial will be at Christian Chapel Cemetery, Merriam.

My deepest sympathy to the family. Mrs. Huntsman was my Bible school teacher at the Wolf Lake Baptist Church and her love for the Lord was contagious.
Her memory will forever live in all those who knew her.
