Sandra-May Albertine (Madore) Johnson, passed away on July 4, 2025, after a hard fought battle with lung cancer.
She was born on March 07, 1942, to Alice Barbara (Harris) Madore and George-Emile Leon Madore, in Lewiston, Maine.
Sandra lived in Lewiston, ME, with her parents and 3 siblings, until the age of 13, when the family moved to Denton, TX. Sandra graduated from Denton High School, and attended Texas Women’s University’s nursing program. She married at the age of 21, and moved between Florida and Texas, before putting down roots in Irving, TX.
She is survived by her daughters, Laura (Dotson) Cole, and her husband John; and Cecilie Johnson; sisters Sheila Madore and Kathie (Madore) Tipping, predeceased brother, Marc Madore, and his widow Deborah (Lange) Madore. Sandra is also survived by grandsons Justin Dotson and Nathan Dotson, and his wife Kendyll, and great grandson, Nolan Dotson; nephews Jason Madore, and Jacob Tipping, and his wife Devin; 2 cousins, 3 great nieces, and 2 great nephews.
God and family were her life.
She was a loving mother, grandmother, sister and friend. She was kind to all that she met. Sandra loved to read, watch Wheel of Fortune, work cross word and word search puzzles.
Her passing has left an empty place in our hearts and lives, and she will be greatly missed by all.
The family is asking that donations be made to the
American Cancer Society, in lieu of flowers.
