Sandra Kay Helms Eason Obituary
Sandy was born August 31, 1946, in Richmond, Indiana, to Lyman and Helen M. Wolfal Helms. She lived in Richmond for most of her life. Sandy lived in Kentucky for 10 years, before moving back to Richmond in 2022. She was a 1964 graduate of Richmond High School. Sandy enjoyed reading, cooking, and spending time with her family and friends.
Survivors include her daughter, Julie (Tiffany) Eason of White House, Tennessee; son, Craig (Lori) Eason of Richmond; grandchildren, Rhesa (Chad) Wilkins of Russellville, Kentucky, Kiersten (Stephen Denny) Freeman of Monticello, Kentucky, Christopher (Wendy) Freeman of Evans, Georgia, and Cody, Kaleb, and Kade Sabados, all of Richmond; great grandchildren, Anna Gale and Raylan Wilkins, Jude Denny, and Amara Sabados; sisters, Judy Kirkman, Rema Marquis, both of Richmond, and Carol (Kevin) Warren of Tennessee; brother, Larry Helms of Florida; nieces; nephews; cousins; and many friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Frank W. Eason, who died in 2022; daughter, Lori Eason Freeman; parents; brother, Lyman Helms Jr.; and brother-in-law, Dave Marquis.
Visitation for Sandra K. Helms Eason will be from 10:00 to 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home, 790 National Road West, Richmond. Funeral service will be held at 12:00 p.m. Monday, December 29, 2025, at Doan & Mills Funeral Home with Father Sengole Gnanaraj officiating. Burial will follow in Glen Haven Memorial Gardens.
