Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral HomeIt is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandy Tew Kennon who left this world at the age of 80. She passed peacefully, leaving behind a lifetime of love, kindness, and cherished memories.
Sandy was a devoted wife, a loving mother, a proud grandmother, a caring sister, and a beloved aunt. Above all, she was the heart of her family - the kind of woman whose warmth made everyone feel welcome and cared for. Known for her gentle spirit and generous heart, she was truly one of the sweetest and most compassionate people anyone could know.
She also had a wonderful sense of humor and was always making jokes, bringing laughter and smiles to those around her.
She spent many meaningful years living in Orlando, Florida, where she worked and eventually retired. Orlando held a special place in her heart, and she always loved the life she built there and the memories she made during those years.
Later in life, she proudly called Chunchula, Alabama her home and loved the quiet beauty of the area and the life she built there surrounded by family.
Sandy had a special love for animals, especially panda bears and cats, which always brought a smile to her face. Her gentle heart extended to everyone around her, and she had a beautiful way of making people feel comforted, valued, and loved. She knew no stranger.
She is survived by her loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and her brother, along with many nieces, nephews, and other family members who will forever cherish her memory.
Though she will be deeply missed, her kindness, warmth, and the love she gave so freely will continue to live on in the hearts of all who were blessed to know her.
Her family takes comfort in knowing that the love she gave so freely will never fade.
Sandy's funeral service will be held at 2 P.M. on Friday, March 27th, 2026, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Mobile Memorial Gardens Cemetery. Visitation will be held prior to the service from 1 P.M. to 2 P.M. on Friday, March 27th, 2026, at Mobile Memorial Gardens Funeral Home.
