Sandra G. Geier - Kinzey, 80, of East Peoria, passed away at 5:38 am on Monday, September 8, 2025 at OSF Saint Francis Medical Center in Peoria. She was born on August 9th, 1945 in Peoria, IL to Albert F. and Ruth L. (Zahner) Geier.
Sandra is survived by one Son, Jeffrey (Patricia) Hays, two Grandchildren, Camden (Hallee) Hays and Delaney Hays, two great grandchildren, Phillip and Lucy Hays; one brother, Michael A. (Linda) Geier, seven sisters, Cheryl K. (late Douglas) Fraser, Gerry M. (Dennis) Widenhammer, Deborah A. (Jim) Peckham, Jill C. (late Afton) Booth, Janice E. (late Dean) Phillips, Barbara A. (Bill) Runyon.
She is preceded in death by two brothers, Gene Robert Geier and James David Geier.
Sandra worked as a bookkeeper for the International Painters Union and later for the Carpenters Union in Springfield, IL retiring from the Carpenters Union. Sandra had a love for the outdoors and enjoyed her flowers and working in her yard. She loved her family time, a good cup of coffee and lots of laughter. She brought joy into every gathering and will be remembered for her positive attitude and tenacity.
Sandra's funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, September 15th, 2025 at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home in Farmington, Illinois, where visitation will be from 10:00 AM until the time of the services. Rev. Kevin Van Tine will officiate. Burial will be held at Trivoli Cemetery in Trivoli, IL following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Trivoli Township Cemetery District Fundraiser at Trivoli Township Cemetery District, P O Box 83, Trivoli, IL 61569.
