Diane Beavers Knight, 56, of Georgetown, TN, passed Monday, October 31, 2022, at her home surrounded by her family. She had lived in the area most of her life. She was a member of New Union Baptist Church in Georgetown and had worked for Volunteer Electric Cooperative and the U.S. Postal Service. Her family was her life. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Lloyd Beavers and Betty Braddam Beavers; one grandchild, Haven Knight; father-in-law, Ronald Knight; and one brother, Stanley Beavers.
She is survived by her loving husband of 35 years, Vincent Augusta Knight; two daughters, Shannon Renee Breazeale of Georgetown, and Amanda Diane Thomas and husband James of Decatur, TN; three grandchildren, Elijah Breazeale, Isabella Breazeale, and Caleb Keith Mullins; three brothers, Larry Beavers and wife Brenda of Cleveland, Jerry Beavers and wife Linda of Decatur, and Steve Beavers and wife Lynn of Georgetown; mother-in-law, Barbara Knight of Cleveland; special friends, Mary Jane Fleming and Sandy Bishop; and several nieces and nephews also survive.
A celebration of her life will be conducted at 1 p.m. on Friday, November 4, 2022, in the chapel of Ralph Buckner Funeral Home and Crematory with Reverend Kenley Knight officiating. Interment will follow in McInturff Cemetery in Birchwood, TN, with Billy Alvey, James Thomas, Kevin Knight, Brian Beavers, Daniel Beavers, and Blake Beavers serving as pallbearers. A white dove release ceremony and the playing of bagpipes will conclude the service.
The family will receive friends from 3-7 p.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2022, at the funeral home.
The family would like to thank Hospice Chaplain Doug and her nurse, Julia for their compassionate care during this time.
