Sandra Sue Koogler

Sandra Sue “Sandy” Koogler, age 79, of Fairborn, OH, passed away peacefully, in the comfort of home, Sunday, September 21, 2025—just five days shy of her 80th birthday. She was born September 26, 1945, in Dayton, OH, the daughter of the late Donald A. and Maudie (Jacobs) Rosselli.

A woman of many interests, Sandy was particularly passionate about thrifting, often spending joyful hours at yard sales and thrift stores. Her enthusiasm for finding treasures reflected her creativity and eye for décor, which she expressed beautifully during the holidays. Sandy especially loved Thanksgiving and Christmas, transforming her home into a festive gathering place where family and friends could come together to create lasting memories. Her love for hosting family during these special times was a hallmark of her character, cementing her role as the heart of her family.

Sandy also found immense joy in cooking, often making her recipes from scratch, and she delighted in the company of her loved ones. She also had a keen interest in home furnishings, frequently investing in new rugs and couches that contributed to the comfort of her home. Her pride and joy were her family, including her grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought her immeasurable happiness and fulfillment throughout her life.

Sandy shared a loving marriage with her husband Robert, whom she wed in 1963. Together, they created a family foundation that will be felt for generations to come.

In addition to her parents, Sandy is preceded in death by a sister, Donnie. She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 plus years, Robert P. Koogler; three children, Mark, Teresa, Scott (Cheryl); seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren, three nephews, extended family, and dear friends.

A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, September 26, 2025, at the Belton-Stroup Funeral Home, 422 E. Dayton-Yellow Springs Rd., Fairborn, Pastor H. Wesley Barnhill officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the time of service at the funeral home.  Burial to follow at the Fairfield Cemetery, Fairborn.
