Sandra Kramer

Hello, dear friends. This is Sandra Kramer, but many of you knew me as Sandy. I was born in the beautiful city of Rockford, IL, on October 1, 1964, and have had the pleasure of calling this place home for 60 years. After a long and fulfilling journey, I have left this world on February 2, 2025. I am so thankful for the love and joy I've experienced throughout my life.
I've been a school bus driver, a 4H Officer, and even the Labor Day Queen of Rockford in 2016. I am the proud owner of ReMarkable Creations, a testament to my love for crafting and sewing. I've always been creative, and those who knew me well would probably add thoughtful and talented to the list of my attributes. I've always believed in the power of creativity and the joy it brings to our lives. As Albert Einstein once said, "Creativity is intelligence having fun."
My family was my greatest pride and joy. My loving husband, Philip Kramer, whom I married on May 27, 2017, has been my rock and my best friend. My brother, Terry Hermeling, his wife Martha, their son Daniel, and daughter Stacie have been my pillars of support. Regrettably, I am joining my beloved parents, Gustav and Doris Hermeling, as well as my dear brother, Martin Hermeling, in the realm beyond.
I leave behind these words not for those to mourn, but to remember the love and joy we shared together. I hope my life encourages you all to be creative, to be loving, to be thoughtful, and above all, to value family as I did. I invite you all to share your memories and upload our shared photos to the memorial page. Celebrate my life, as I have celebrated each and every one of you.
A funeral ceremony will be held on Monday, February 10, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in McCorkle Funeral Home- Pecatonica Chapel, 203 W.5th Street, Pecatonica, IL with Pastor Phillip Allman of St. John's Lutheran Church officiating. Burial will be in North Burritt Cemetery. A visitation will be held at the funeral home Sunday from 1:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m., Sunday, February 9, 2025.
