Sandra Mary Kraus

Sandra (Sandy) Mary Kraus, née Edwards, 78, of Kansas City, MO, passed away on January 16, 2026, surrounded by love and peace. Born on December 29, 1947, in Topeka, KS, Sandy was the daughter of John and Kathleen Edwards.

Sandy was known for her feisty spirit and boundless love. She found her greatest joy raising her children, Brian, Andrea, and Xavier. She found joy in the simple pleasures, dancing to her favorite songs and raising her beloved dog, Bandit. Driving a semi-truck with her husband, Duayne, was a highlight in her life; together, they shared countless adventures traveling around the country.

Sandy departed this life on January 26, 2026. She was preceded in death by her husband, Duayne Kraus; her son, Brian Prather; her son, Michael Andras; her father, John Edwards; her mother, Kathleen Edwards; and her sister, Sharon Foster.

She was survived by her daughter, Andrea Prather; her adopted son/grandson, Xavier Kraus; her sister, Louise Ballard; her sister, Marilyn McKibbin; her sister, Constance Cooper; and countless grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
