It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandra Kuby, on February 6, 2026, a devoted mother, sister, and friend, who lived a life defined by loyalty to her family and her passions.
Born in The Bronx, New York, to the late Sylvia Clampert Modugno and Anthony Modugno, Sandra carried the spirit of the city with her throughout her life. After graduating, she began her career as a customer service representative for AT&T, a role that highlighted her patience and desire to help others.
In 1964, Sandra married the love of her life, William Kuby. Together, they built a beautiful life over 36 years of marriage, moving from Massapequa, Long Island, to Lancaster, Pennsylvania. Sandra was the bedrock of her family, serving as a loving and fiercely devoted mother to her son, William Kuby Jr.
Those who knew Sandra knew of her two greatest devotions outside of her family:
· The Boys in Pinstripes: A lifelong, avid New York Yankees fan, Sandra stuck by her team through every inning, through thick and thin.
· A Love for Collies: Sandra had a special affinity for ruff-coated collies. She is now reunited with her beloved pet, Sonny, and all her beloved collies as they wait for her on the other side of the bridge.
Sandra was predeceased by her husband, William Kuby, in 2006. William was a proud veteran, serving as a Marine and a Master Sergeant in the U.S. Army Reserves, as well as a retired Sergeant from the New York City Motorcycle Police force. She is survived by her son, William Kuby Jr., and her sister, Frances Arsena of North Carolina.
---
Sandra will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Indiantown Gap National Cemetery, 60 Indiantown Gap Rd, Annville, PA 17003 on February 23rd, 2026 at 1:00 pm where they will remain together in eternal peace.
