Sandra Gail Wells LaHatte, 76, of Ocean Springs, MS passed away April 11, 2023, with her family at her side. II Corinthians 5:8 NKJV “We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.”
She was born September 17, 1946, to Ralph Lewis Wells and Opal Evans Wells in Vicksburg, MS. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert (Bobby) LaHatte and this year they would be celebrating their 60th wedding anniversary. She worked as a registered nurse and had enjoyed retirement for many years. She loved Jesus, her family, friends, nature, sailing, and all animals.
She is survived by her devoted husband of 60 years, Robert LaHatte; her son, Michael LaHatte of Southaven, MS; her daughter, Suzanne LaHatte of Ocean Springs, MS; grandson, Jacob LaHatte of Starkville, MS; brother, Glenn Wells of Redwood, MS; sister, Cheryl Wells Woods of Fairhope, AL; brother, Chip Wells of Monroe, LA; brother, Ricky Salles of Doyline, LA; and many nieces, nephews and special friends.
In lieu of flowers, please make donations in her memory to First Baptist Church of Ocean Springs.
A private family service will be held.
