Sandra Larson Obituary

Sandra "Sandy" Marie Larson

March 30, 1948 - June 17, 2025

Sandra "Sandy" Marie Larson (Evert), age 77, passed away at home surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday, June 17, 2025. Sandy was born on March 30, 1948, to Wallace and Helen Evert. She grew up living in Lodi, Wis., and graduated from Lodi High School in 1966. On May 23, 1970, she married the love of her life, Tom. Together they raised a family in Waunakee, Wis., living there for 45 years. She enjoyed watching her grandchildren grow up and participate in various sporting events, musicals, and other school activities. She was a proud member of the Waunakee Lions Club for 25 years. She was also a proud charter member of Peace Lutheran church in Waunakee. She and Tom moved to Holmen, Wis. in 2017, where they continued to be active attending their grandchildren's sporting and school events, along with making many new friends. Over the years, Sandy was a valuable employee of the Waunakee School District, working with special needs students, as well as a Customer Service representative at American Family Insurance.

Sandy is survived by her husband of 55 years, Tom. Son, Matt; daughter-in-law, Leigh Ann; and grandchildren, Anissa (Michael Owens) and Garrett. Son, Mike; daughter-in-law, Dana; and grandchildren, Ty (Taylor Clayton), Drew, Jed; and bonus grandson, Chase. Newly re-united son, Scott (April) Vingum; grandchildren, Ryan (Sarah), Eric, Colten (Samantha) and Taylor (Max Garcia); and great-grandchildren, Jameson, Kayden, and Grady. Sister, Karen (Denny) Hilgendorf; and brother, Dale. Along with her many nieces, nephews and friends, her family will always remember her laugh, smile and fiery spirit. She was proceeded in death by her parents, Wally and Helen Evert; sister-in-law, Janice Evert; parents-in-law, Alfred and Ingeborg Larson; and brothers-in-law, David and Richard Larson.

Much anticipated events this year that Sandy was hoping to be present for include the upcoming birth of great-granddaughter, Ivy Sandra and the wedding of granddaughter, Anissa. She will now be with us during those times pain free, surrounding us with her joy and love.

The family invites all who knew and loved Sandy to join them on Sunday, June 29. There will be a visitation from 2 to 4 p.m., at Winn Cress Funeral Home, 5785 Hwy Q, Waunakee, WI 53597, with a service at 4 p.m. Following the service, there will be a reception at Rex's Innkeeper, 301 N Century Avenue, Waunakee, WI 53597. The family encourages casual dress. Packer, Badger or Brewer attire is encouraged.

In addition to the service in Waunakee, there will also be a celebration of Sandy's life in Holmen, at a future date.
