Judith Saffer "Judy" Larson

Judith "Judy" Shaffer Larson passed away Friday, February 6, 2026, at The Retreat, Hospice in Mobile, AL at the age of 86. She was a retired LPN and caretaker for many; resident of Spanish Fort, AL, former resident of Plaquemine, LA, and native of Miami, FL. Visitation will be held at Wilbert Funeral Home, Plaquemine on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, from 11am until services at 1:30pm. Interment will follow at Grace Memorial Park, Plaquemine. Judy is survived by her daughter, Michelle Larson Griffin and husband William "Brad" Bradley Griffin; and chosen granddaughter, Chelsey VanHoose Davis and husband Charlie Davis. Preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, Curtis "Mose" Larson; parents, Glenn W. and Douglas Laing Shaffer; and sister, Gwendolyn Agnes Shaffer Jones and husband Claude. Pallbearers will be Michael, Michael Dale, Corey, Jody Wayne and David Larson, and godchild Clint Jones. Judy was an extravert, never met a stranger, loved socializing and would talk to anyone who would listen. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital or the local animal shelter of your choice.
