Sandra Lee Obituary
Sandra was born on March 17, 1948 to the late Vincent & Doris (Wilson) Cox in Science Hill, Kentucky. After graduating from Somerset High School, Sandra attended Somerset Community College, Kaufman Beauty School in Lexington, and Bruno's Academy of Advanced Hair Styling in Toronto, Canada. Her career as a Hair Dresser spanned 42 years in Lexington. Sandra married her high school sweet heart Jackie, January 1, 1970. After moving to Danville, KY in 1972, they enjoyed time spent traveling and participating in car shows and later began their collection of antiques. Upon retirement in 2017, Sandra looked forward to lots of time spent gardening and working in her flowers. Jackie and Sandra attended Hedgeville Baptist Church in Danville, Kentucky.
She is survived by her husband, Jackie Lee; one daughter, Kendra & (John) Moore of Lancaster, KY; one sister, Lisa & (John) Coats of Louisville, KY; her grandchildren, Kyler Moore, Jon Konner Moore, and Makinlee Moore; and her nephew, Jonathon Coats.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
A funeral service will be held at 11 AM on Thursday, July 11, 2024 at Morris and Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Jonathan Grizzell officiating.
Burial will be at Camp Nelson Cemetery at 1:30 PM in Nicholasville, Kentucky.
The family will receive friends at 9 AM on Thursday, July 11, 2024.
