Sandra "Sandy" Lee

Sandra Jean Lee, 63, passed away Wednesday, July 2, 2025, in Topeka, Kansas. She was born June 4, 1962, in Mount Pleasant, Iowa, to Leonard and Kathryn Allen Lee. Her early years were spent in Winfield, Iowa. She moved with her family to Cedar Rapids, Iowa at the age of four. Sandy went to school at Cedar Rapids until the age of seven when the family moved to Topeka. The family moved to Silver Lake, Kansas in April 1970. At that time, she started attending Silver Lake schools.
Sandy graduated from Silver Lake High School in 1980. While in High School, she worked at Tex's Drive-In in Silver Lake. Halfway through her senior year of High School, she went to work at Blue Cross Blue Shield in data entry. She remained at Blue Cross Blue Shield until she retired, as an IT Tech, in 2019.
Sandy married Gary Harris on June 4, 1990; he preceded her in death in February 2024. For several years, Sandy and Gary spent their leisure time camping and fishing. Sandy enjoyed visiting with her grandchildren. During retirement, she liked growing flowers and working in her garden. She got great enjoyment playing with her two boxer dogs.
Sandy is survived by her daughter, Tammy Harris of Silver Lake; grandchildren, Taylor and Daisy; her parents, Leonard and Kathryn Lee of Silver Lake; and her boxers, Dakota and Lacey.
Visitation will be 1 to 3 p.m. Friday, July 11, 2025, at Kevin Brennan Family Funeral Home, 2801 SW Urish Road, Topeka KS 66614. Burial will be at 3:30 p.m. Friday at Silver Lake Cemetery. Casual wear is acceptable.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to The House at Midland Care or Helping Hands Humane Society, sent in care of the funeral home.
