Sandra Lyon Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by McNutt Funeral Home - Conroe on Apr. 4, 2023.
Sandra K. Lyon of Conroe, Texas, passed away peacefully at home on April 2, 2023, at the age of 72. She was born on February 27, 1951 to parents, Cecil and Mousie (Howard) Jenkins, who preceded her in death, as did her brother, Roger Dale Jenkins. She will be deeply missed by her loving husband of 45 years, David A. Lyon; her daughter, Jodi K. Fitch and husband Huey Fitch; her son, Broc E. Lyon; sister, Wanda Jenkins; granddaughter, Hillary (Sharp) McClure and husband Jonathon McClure; granddaughter, Leah Lyon and great grand daughter, Freya Reign McClure; along with many other family members in Ohio and Kentucky, and countless friends.
Sandie was born in Flatwoods, Kentucky and raised in Marion, Ohio. She settled in Texas and made it her home in 1982. Sandie loved being outside, planting in her flower beds and garden, which brought her immense joy. She was happiest when she was nurturing her plants and watching them grow. Sandie and her husband, David, shared a love for golf and traveled to different courses together, creating cherished memories along the way. They also embarked on many motorcycle trips with friends, discovering new places, and experiencing new things together.
Sandra was able to find joy in the simplest pleasures in life. Spending time with her children and family always brought her immense happiness. She enjoyed coffee time regularly with her granddaughter, Hillary, and loved spending time with her granddaughter, Leah, drawing and writing with her. And any day playing with great granddaughter, Freya, or visiting any beach, was always at the top of her list.
Sandra's service will be held on Friday, April 14, 2023 at 2:00 pm at McNutt Funeral Home located at 1703 Porter Road in Conroe, Texas. Flowers are welcome and the family will be forever grateful for the love and support shown during this difficult time. Sandie will be missed, but her spirit will live on in the hearts of those who loved her.
