Sandra D. Marut, 83, of Hamilton, passed away on Thursday, March 21, 2024, surrounded by her loving family at Merwick Care & Rehabilitation Center in Plainsboro, NJ.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, Sandra moved to East Windsor, NJ in 1972 and then on to Hamilton, NJ in 2019. While living in Brooklyn Sandra briefly worked as a secretary for a law firm and once settling in NJ, she continued her career as a secretary for the East Windsor Regional School District, having retired after over 25 years of service. Sandra was an extreme bingo enthusiast, even traveling many hours to upstate NY to play high stakes games. Throughout the years Sandra and her late husband, Don, enjoyed traveling the US and vacationing at many tropical islands. Sandra especially enjoyed spending time with her family, most of all her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Predeceased by her parents, Alex and Frances (Zuckerman) Solomon; and her husband, Donald Marut; she is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Michael "Mickey" and May Solomon; her daughters and their spouses, Michelle and Butch Budai, Stacey and Dave Perry and Lori and George Case; her grandchildren, Stephanee Llewellyn (Brian), Andrew Budai (Carolyn), Rob Case, Kevin Perry (Alicia), Lindsey Roberts (Taylor) and Tori Case; and her great-grandchildren, Nikolas, Ariana, Everly, Jacey, Josephine, Finn and she was expecting her 7th great-grandchild soon.
Funeral Services will begin on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 1:30 p.m. at Simplicity Funeral and Cremation Services at Glackin Chapel, 136 Morrison Ave., Hightstown, NJ.
Graveside Services will begin at 2:30 p.m. at Princeton Memorial Park in Robbinsville, NJ.
Immediately following her interment, Sandra's family will be sitting Shiva at her home in Hamilton.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made in Sandra's memory to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital by visiting .
