Sandra "Gail" McClure

Sandra "Gail" Stiles McClure, age 69 of Marble, went home to be with her Lord and Savior on Saturday, February 21, 2026 following a lengthy battle with illness.

Gail was a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother. She loved her family very much and especially enjoyed gathering for holiday and family Sunday dinners. Gail had a strong faith in God. Her home church was Vengeance Creek Baptist Church but she had traveled to multiple other churches over the past 35 years with her husband as he ministered and pastored churches. She was an avid collector of owls and enjoyed her many cats and playing computer games. Gail had worked for District Memorial Hospital and Kerns Bread Company.

She was the daughter of the late James "Jay" and Doris Lucille Stiles of Marble, NC. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son Jeremy McClure who passed away in October 2016 and her two sisters, Katherine Ann Sharp and Rebecca Lynn Stiles, infant sister who passed at birth.

She is survived by her husband, Rev. Jimmy D. McClure; her daughter, Jill McClure Newton and husband Alan; her granddaughters, Bethanie Edwards, Mallorie Dunn and husband Aaron, Macie Radford, Isabella McClure and Alexis Newton; and her grandson, Jaxon King. Also surviving are her great-grandchildren, Addilyn and Liam Edwards, Landon Delamonico, Nova and "Milli" Logan, and Kash and Kaisley Newton. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, cousins and a multitude of good friends.

A funeral service will be held at 12pm on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at Vengeance Creek Baptist Creek Church with Rev. Philip Hodge officiating. Burial will be at Vengeance Creek Baptist Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Lucas and Bryan Luther, Alan Newton, Zachary Sharp, Gary Rogers, Aaron Dunn, Brady Luther and Tyler Haga. Honorary pallbearer will be Kevin Delamonico.

The family will receive friends from 11am to 12pm on Tuesday, February 24, 2026 at the church prior to the service.
