Sandra Neff

Waterford - Sandra Cutillo Neff, 82, passed away peacefully Jan. 10, 2025, at Yale New Haven Hospital after a long battle with Parkinson's Disease.

Sandra was born July 21, 1943 to John and Sara (Sally) Cutillo. She graduated from New London High School in 1961. After graduating, she married her high school sweetheart, William L. Neff "Bill" May 12, 1962.

Sandra was a devoted wife and mother to her husband Bill and children, Lisa and Billy. One of her greatest joys was being a grandmother to her only grandchild AJ, whom she cherished deeply.

Sandra worked at the family business, Niantic Plumbing and Appliance, Inc. for many years retiring in 2021. She was the familiar face of the office and truly enjoyed the time she spent there with all that have been a part of the Niantic Plumbing family throughout the years.

A social butterfly, she enjoyed her time spent with friends and family meeting for dinner, to crochet or to play dice. Sandra also loved to play bingo and visit the casinos with her friends and family, as well as traveling, taking quite a few trips over the years with her husband, friends and family. In addition, she was an active and proud member of the Waterford Regional Lions Club where she exemplified a spirit of service and generosity and received awards for her volunteer services.

Sandra is survived by her husband William Neff Sr.; her daughter Lisa Longo (Andrew Sr.); her son William Neff Jr.; her grandson Andrew Longo Jr. In addition, she is also survived by her brothers, John "Jack" Cutillo (Mary) and Robert Cutillo (Patricia); nieces, nephews and friends all of whom she cherished. Her family and friends were so important to her. Above all, Sandra will be remembered for her strength, her independence, and the love she gave so freely to her family and friends. She was a steady presence and a guiding force, and her absence will be felt profoundly by those who loved her.

The family will receive relatives and friends from noon to 2 p.m. Friday, Jan. 16, at the Thomas L. Neilan & Sons East Lyme Funeral Home, 48 Grand Street, Niantic. A prayer service will follow at 2 p.m. Interment will be in East Lyme Cemetery, East Lyme.
