Yadkinville – Sandra Lee Perry Norman, 72, while peacefully sleeping, went to be with her Lord and Savior early Sunday morning, March 9, 2025. Sandy, daughter of Jesse James Perry and Mary Lily Deans Perry, was born on September 24, 1952, in Goldsboro, NC, and graduated from Goldsboro High School in 1970. Sandy was a devoted Nana to her two grandsons, Hudson and Emmett. Their many adventures kept her active, and she enthusiastically cheered them on at their many sporting events. Sandy loved her grandsons, the Dallas Cowboys, and to her sons’ dismay, the UNC Tar Heels. Sandy relished her time working outside in her yard and tending to her plants and flowers. A friend to all who knew her, Sandy was truly blessed with a strong, supportive circle of friends and neighbors. As a Carolina girl at heart, she was thrilled with a trip to the beach with her beloved friends to enjoy the sun, sand, and salty air. Sandy is survived by her two sons, Steel Norman, and wife, Marianne, of Sherrills Ford; Chance Norman, of New Bern; two grandsons, Hudson Steel Norman, Emmett Case Norman, of Sherrills Ford; former husband Herman Norman, and wife, Angie, of East Bend; honorary sister, Brenda Glenn, of Winston Salem; her beloved cousins and countless friends who she considered sisters and family. Her memorial service will be held 3:00 pm on Thursday, March 13, 2025 at Gentry Family Chapel in Yadkinville by Rev. Chris Hauser. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service from 2:00 to 3:00 pm on Thursday at Gentry Family Funeral Service in Yadkinville. Memorial donations can be made to: Impact Yadkin at 1336 Lone Hickory Road, Yadkinville, NC 27055. Online condolences can be made at www.gentryfuneralservice.com.
