It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Sandra Lee O'Brian, who went to be with the Lord on September 1, 2024, at the age of 83, surrounded by her loving family in the comfort of her own home.
Born on July 8, 1941, in Greenville, Mississippi, Sandra was the cherished daughter of Neva Jean Smith and George Ramphrey. Sandra was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and friend to many. She was a long-time member of Temple Baptist Church and retired from the Kroger Company after 30 years of dedicated service.
Sandra was preceded in death by her mother, Neva Jean Smith; her father, George Ramphrey; and her two brothers, Lonnie and Johnny Ramphrey. She is survived by her loving husband of thirty-three years, Jimmie O'Brian; her daughters, Brenda Karr and Karen Clossman; her son, Phillip Karr (Beth); and her stepchildren, Beth Greco, Farra Criswell (Neal), and Jimmy O'Brian Jr. (Kristen). She is also survived by her grandchildren, Jamie Grieshaber (Stephen), Jeana Lott (Brandon), Jimmy Karr (Alycia), Logan Aultman, Peyton Clossman (Natalia), Adam Clossman, Nathan and Gabe Criswell, Addie and Neely O'Brian, and Robbie, Ben, Tanner, and Blair Greco. Additionally, she is survived by her loving sister, Sharon Spangler (Ray), her brother, George Ramphrey (Arlene), and a host of great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and a special aunt.
The family will receive visitors at Temple Baptist Church. Visitation will be held at 10:00 AM on September 4th, 2024 with the service to follow celebrating Sandra's life at 11:00 AM.
Sandra's kindness, faith, and love will be deeply missed but fondly remembered by all who knew her.
