Sandra Jean Paquette

Age 57, formerly of Gardner, Illinois, of Seneca, Illinois, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, November 23, 2025.

Born on July 29, 1968 in Morris, Illinois, Sandra Jean was a daughter of Homer and Doris (Hannon) Paquette. She was the youngest of seven children.

She was raised and educated in Gardner and graduated from Gardner South Wilmington High School with the class of 1987. After school, she worked for Petco in Joliet for about twenty six years. This was a job she was proud of and was lucky enough to enjoy. Sandy also had worked six years at the Seneca Foods grocery store.

Her former co-worker and friends, Brenda, described Sandra as "four foot and full of sass and stubbornness". Anyone who knew her would agree. She came across as a tough nut but if you could crack that shell you saw the best of her.

Sandy was a proud mother of Jeff Paquette. He was her entire world. She also had a special relationship with her niece Dakota Paquette.

She is survived by her son Jeff, her siblings: Nancy, John (Julie), Tommy (Gail), Cheryl (Rod) Alan (Janet), and JimBo (Sandy); several nieces and nephews: Debby, Tobey, Abbie, Beth, Chad, Aaron, Ryne, Emma, Kate, Jordan and Dakota; several great nieces and nephews.

Sandy was proceeded in death by her parents;.

The family will receive friends for a visitation at Reeves Funeral Home in Gardner (203 Liberty Street) on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 3:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. Cremation rites will take place following the services.
