Sandra Partlow

Sturbridge: Sandra Partlow (Corriveau), age 73, passed away on July 21st at UMass Medical Center after a long battle with ALS.
Her beloved husband, Lee A. Partlow passed away in 1993.
She leaves her sister, Jo-Ann Rafail and her husband Robert E. of Southbridge; her companion, Ronald Gullberg of Sturbridge; step-sons, James Partlow of Southbridge, Craig Partlow and his wife Beth of Southbridge, Marc Partlow and his wife Stacy of Southbridge, Kyle Partlow of Southbridge; step daughter-in-law Lynn Partlow of Southbridge; brother-in-laws, Benjamin Perez of Sturbridge, Frank Partlow and his wife Margaret of Southbridge and Eddy Partlow and his wife Gay of FL; a sister-in-law, Carolyn Partlow of Sturbridge; several step-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews.
Sandra was predeceased by her brothers Robert R. and his wife Carol (Christianson) Corriveau and Gilbert P. Corriveau and brother-in-law Michael Partlow.
She was born in Southbridge the daughter of Raymond J. and Dorothy V. (Bremer) Corriveau.
She graduated from Tantasqua High School, class of '69 and went on to receive her Bachelor's at Worcester State University. Sandra worked many years as a social worker for the Massachusetts Department of Transitional Assistance in Southbridge and Springfield for over 30 years. After retiring, she worked as a van driver part time for The Center of Hope prior to her illness. Sandra wore many hats in life working as a waitress in several area restaurants. She worked in the Publick House Bake Shop and was a substitute teacher at West Street School in Southbridge.
She was an avid golfer, belonging to many different country clubs and was not uncommon for her to play at three different clubs in one day. Sandra also enjoyed bowling.
Sandra had an odd sense of humor, often laughing at her own jokes. She had a very caring and nurturing manner and always tried to help people in any way she could. She was truly loved by all.
Calling hours for Sandra will be held on Tuesday, July 30th from 5 to 7PM in the Daniel T. Morrill Funeral Home, 130 Hamilton St., Southbridge with a service to follow at 7PM. Burial will be private.
