Sandra Payne, born on September 15, 1958. Departed this life on June 18, 2025. She was a cherished mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, who touched the lives of many with her vibrant spirit and affable personality.
Sandra grew up in Monroe and graduated from Ouachita High School. Notably, she was one of the first African Americans to be a member of the dance line, showcasing her talent and breaking barriers during a pivotal time. She continued her education at Northeast Louisiana University, further expanding her horizons and nurturing a love for learning.
Known for her outgoing nature, Sandra was a lively presence in any gathering. She enjoyed having fun and was blessed with a vast network of friends who will remember her fondly. Sandra had a particular love for shopping and an appreciation for music, which often brought joy into her life and the lives of those around her.
She is survived by her beloved family, who will miss her deeply and carry her memory forward. Sandra's legacy will live on through them, as well as through the countless friends whose lives she positively impacted.
A viewing will be held on June 29, 2025, from 11:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Golden Gate Funeral Home-Dallas (Allene), located at 4155 S R. L. Thornton Fwy, Dallas, TX 75224. The funeral service will take place on June 29, 2025, at 3:00 PM at the same location.
Sandra Payne's life was a celebration of joy, resilience, and connection. She will be dearly remembered and forever missed.
