Sandra Poland Obituary
Sandy attended Toledo Public Elementary Schools and graduated from Saint Ursula Academy in 1964. She continued her education by attending Mercy School of Nursing where she received her Registered Nursing Degree. She furthered her education by receiving her certification in Occupational Health Nursing.
She was a caregiver for many and was fiercely loyal and protective of those she loved. During her lifetime, she enjoyed traveling with her husband, shopping and spending time with her family.
On June 17, 1994, she married the love of her life, Ron Poland. Through this marriage, Sandy gained a daughter and a son.
She is survived by her loving husband, Ron Sr.; children, Tammy (Speck) Lehnertz, Heather (Richard) Chaney, Tammy (Kevin) Poitinger, Ron Poland Jr., grandchildren, Mallory (Jason) Creech, Michael (Theresa) Zaerr, Katie (Nick) Stephens, Chris (Sarina) McMaken, Nathan Falk, Madelyn Chaney, Autumn (Tyler) Dickerson, Lauren (Hunter) Woodruff, Kent Poitinger; and 11 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, June 24, 2023 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. in the Urbanski's Bedford Funeral Chapel 8300 Lewis Ave. Temperance, MI where a Celebration of Life Service will take place at 2:00 p.m. Cremation has taken place. Donations may be made to the American Kidney Fund or donor's choice.
