Sandra Darlene "Hughes" Reid

Sandra Darlene Hughes Reid, 75, a resident of Baton Rouge, went to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by her loving family on January 30, 2026.

Sandra was a retired hairdresser of 20 plus years and then went on to run her own grooming business.

She loved spending time with family and especially her grandchildren.

Visitation will be on Wednesday, February 4, 2026 at Charlet Funeral Home, Inc., Zachary from 10:00am until service time at 1:00 pm. Burial will follow in LA National Cemetery, Zachary.

Sandra is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Gerald B. Reid, daughter, Lesa Reid Cox (David), son, Bradley Reid (Amanda), sister, Paula Hughes Schlatre (Norman), brother, Mike Hughes (Kay), mother in law, Ruby Reid, grandchildren, Elizabeth Cox, Hallie Reid, Kayla Reid Varnado (Peyton) and Sarah Cox and great grandson, Walker Reid Varnado and numerous nieces, nephews and extended family.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Murphy and Hilda Coburn Hughes and father in law, Frank Reid.
