Sandra “Sandi” Walter (nee Tilley), age 75 years, of West Bend was called home to be with the Lord on January 17, 2026, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Sandi was born on December 3, 1950, in Milwaukee to Thomas and Fay Tilley (nee Dahms). She was united in marriage to Mike Walter on June 8, 1974, at Jackson Park Lutheran Church in Milwaukee.
Sandi graduated from Milwaukee Hamilton High School in January 1969, later attending UW-Whitewater and UW-Madison, before graduating with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from the State University of New York. She started working at St. Luke’s Hospital in Milwaukee in September 1974, before moving on to manage the Intensive Care Unit at Hartford Hospital and later the Emergency Room/Outpatient Department at St. Joseph’s Hospital in West Bend. After retiring from hospital nursing, she taught Nursing at Alverno College. Sandi loved horses and horseback riding (dressage) and jumping. She also loved all her puppies, as well as all her great friends and especially her daughter and each of her grandkids.
Those Sandi leaves behind to cherish her memory include her husband, Mike; daughter, Jessica (Erika Hildner); grandchildren, Julian, Frankie, and Lennon; brother, Jim (Anita) Tilley; brother-in-law, Joe Schoner. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
In addition to her parents, Sandi was preceded in death by her sister, Linda Schoner.
VISITATION: Sandi’s family will greet relatives and friends on Tuesday, January 27, 2026, from 3:30 p.m. until 4:30 p.m. at Myrhum-Patten Funeral and Cremation Service – 1315 W Washington St. – West Bend, WI 53095.
SERVICE: A brief Memorial Service in remembrance of Sandi will take place at 4:30 p.m. after the visitation. Private inurnment will be at a later date.

The family would like to thank doctors, nurses, and staff at Samaritan Nursing and Rehab in West Bend and Horizon Hospice for their care and compassion.
