Columbiana- Sandra “Sandy” Burbick, age 77, of Columbiana, died on January 1, 2026.
She was born on June 13, 1948, in Youngstown, daughter of the late Mary “Pearl” Boley Boughamer and Harold Boughamer.
Sandy worked as a nurse at Salem Regional Medical Center and was a past member of the Red Hat Society. She was also a business owner who founded South Range Hair Studio in North Lima, where she worked as a nail technician before proudly passing the business down through several generations. She enjoyed crocheting, sewing, shopping, baking, live theater, wintering in Palmetto, Florida, trips to the beach, and traveling the world.
She is survived by her husband, Ronald “Mike” Burbick, whom she married on March 13, 1967; son, Brian (Rebecca) Burbick of Columbiana; two daughters, Stephanie (Rodney) Murphy of Greenford; Ronda (Ross) Agee of Cleveland; eleven grandchildren, Harleigh (Drew), Zane, Hunter, Mason, Carter, Caleb, Ayden, Sophia, Lacie, Brennan, and Summer; one great-granddaughter, Eva; brother, William “Bill” (Gwen) Boughamer of Austintown; sister, Carol McElfresh of Toledo.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her beloved daughter and son-in-law, Ronald and Staci Solvesky.
The family will receive friends on Sunday, January 4, 2026 from 2:00 pm - 4:00 pm and on Monday, January 5, 2026 from 10:00 am – 11:00 am all at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, January 5, 2026, at 11:00 am at the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home, Columbiana, with Pastor Jan Winnale officiating.
Burial will take place at Columbiana Cemetery, Columbiana.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to St. Mary’s Alzheimer's Center, Columbiana, OH. Arrangements have been entrusted to the Warrick-Kummer-Rettig Funeral Home in Columbiana, OH.
